Yone is a Montreal-based artist redefining the boundaries of traditional tattooing. Fusing the “New York bold” style with the provocative world of BDSM and fetish pulp, he specializes in high-contrast pin-ups that celebrate leather, latex, and gender-fluidity. With over a decade of experience, Yone creates inclusive, boundary-pushing art designed to titillate the senses and stand the test of time.

Hey, I’m Val! I’ve been tattooing since 2017, and I’ve been based in Montreal for the past three years.

What I do here is simple: honest, custom work that’s made to last. Japanese tattooing is the style that speaks to me the most — its history, imagery, energy, and the way it flows with the body.

I also love stepping outside my comfort zone and exploring different styles based on what each client has in mind. What inspires all of this? Drawing and painting. Both have a huge influence on how I see colour, texture, and composition. Everything I explore with a pencil or on canvas eventually finds its way into my tattoo work, one way or another.
